The meeting began with committee member McCormick acknowledging the recent scandal involving an aide to Mayor Hogsett. McCormick voiced their "disgust" while noting that the Ethics Committee is responsible for ethical concerns regarding city click members...
Excuse me, city COUNCIL members, and concerns regarding city employees are best directed to the city's human resources department.
The board moved onto its main topic: new ethics disclosure forms for City Council Members. Going forward, they will require disclosure of much more info including stocks, real estate, city money dispensed to council members employers or business.
Councilmember Mascari objected to the inclusion of stocks in the required disclosures, saying "I think it's stupid".
