@mirrorindy @indydocumenters A bunch of unruly behavior ensued over a proposal to back any US-backed ceasefire in the Middle East. Councilor Michael Hart moved that the proposal be removed from the agenda.
@mirrorindy @indydocumenters The council voted 22-3 to removed the cease-fire proposal from the agenda. That sparked an outcry, mostly chants of "Free Free Palestine."
@mirrorindy @indydocumenters They're an enthusiastic lot, these Keffiyeh wearing kids. They kept chanting.
@mirrorindy @indydocumenters Council President Osili warned that they'd be removed from the room if they didn't stop.
@mirrorindy @indydocumenters They didn't stop and Sheriff's Deputies began escorting them from the room.
@mirrorindy @indydocumenters As the council inched along with their business, other enthusiasts took up the chant, as well as spitting the invective that's an acronym of For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.
@mirrorindy @indydocumenters On the other hand, a dozen and a half local clergy, along with several councilors, stood at the podium to call on us all to get along. They did it with respect and dignity.

@mirrorindy @indydocumenters The meeting actually ended at 7:48 p.m. The shouting and chanting quickly petered out as the room emptied.
